The project was studied, from the beginning, in order to be conform with the E.E.C., E.P.A. and CARB regulation.
For this reason we was ready to pass homologation. We wanted to choose the best partner to do it and we have selected TUV as a partner.
The activities during homologation were:
- Preparing all technical documentation, paper and related calculation
- Preparing vehicles for testing
- Organise tests' time table
The company was to be certiied as a car manufacturer and we get the compliance of production from VCA.
We have passed all the tests and we arrive to a full European homologation.
L.A.M. buggy has been homologated as quadricycle for transportation of goods because of the rear rack. This homologation is unique and unrepeatable.
This is due to a normative change. But is for sure valid and can be applied for all development of this vehicle (such as new bodies, components changing and so on) as well.
This means that the company that will buy this project with its homologation will not have any competitors. Infact nobody will be allowed to homologate a vehicle with this look and a weight of 550 kg.
This means no more car engines on "fun quadricycles" because is impossible to it a car engine and stay in the weight limitations that are required.
